I was going through past e-mail and find if I open the e-mail from Miller on August 1st showing the 30 finalist to vote on, you again can click on each project to see the views as before. I know others like me wanted to review these after voting but were not able. Nick M

30 Finalists
The thread where I posted the image of the 30 finalists is here:
Just to torture you a bit more, the voting is now closed and we have winners!
My co-worker and I had a little bet going on over this project challenge. I picked 6 projects I thought were in the winner's circle, and my co-worker picked 6 (2 per category) and we bet over lunch who's selected projects, when added up, would have highest total vote count. Well...I WON!!!
Here are our (uneducated) picks: (Our opinion only: NOT THE REAL WINNERS)
Me
Firewood Dolly
EZ Load Lawn Dolly
Motorcycle loader/unloader
Coffee Table
Rockin' Chair
EZ Can Crusher
Co-worker
Firewood Dolly
MultiCargo Hitch Carrier
ATV-Garden Bucket
Coffee Table
Browny Points (Scroll Railing)
EZ Can Crusher

Now this is just flat out cruel and unusual punishment. It's not right I tell ya
I've been trying not to think about it and not get excited, now this. Torture is not the word for itDave
P.S. No matter who wins, I had a good time coming up with this project and building it anyways. Win or lose all the finalist were winners anyways. I'm already trying to think up something for next years challenge. If necessity is the Mother of Invention, I must be the Father of Desperation!

Yep, you are right. Our picks in no way reflect the real winners... We're a couple of office people who have only been through basic welding classes. The people to impress are the PowerClick subscribers, because their votes actually count and they are more likely to be WELDERS.

so dose that mean you don't do any welding at home ?? not even silly little artsy fartsy stuff for around the house ?? like planter holders and stuff. i cant imagine taking a basic welding class and not getting all excited about all the cool stuff you could do with welding at home.thanks for the help

hope i helped

Owning a welder
I might want to have a welder someday, for like you say, artsy fartsy stuff, but even with an employee discount, it's a signifigant amount of $$$.
It is exciting, especially when I look at the idea gallery... Ah well... I think I already have enough various unfinished projects at home anyway!
Someday we plan to pick up a TIG as when we're old and retired, the plan is to build an airplane! A person can't live so close to Oshkosh and NOT own one! That should be an interesting project...
