    I've worked in shops where they used straight CO2 for MIG welding steel. It works ok, but takes considerable more flow than AR-CO2 mix. I use AR-CO2 mix in my shop because I like it better, sure it costs more than straight CO2, but it also lasts 3 to 4 times longer than the same size bottle of straight CO2. Therefore making it cheaper in the long run.

    Miller: Syncrowave 250DX Tigrunner
    Westinghouse: 400+ amp AC
    ThermalArc Handy wirefeeder

    Too many other power toys to list.

    Do it right, do it once. And in all things ya get what ya pay for.
