My boss just called me yesterday and told me he bought his girlfriend's sister's car...or was it girlfriend's brother's girlfriend's car...I don't know, sounds too redneck for me !!! Anyway, all I know, he said it was a 1900cc
baja vw bug, black. He said it was pretty good shape, but need to weld some new floor panels for it...Would be cool if we made some new bumpers also...
wow! maybe I will get a little into cars AFTER all!!!
yeesh, with all my equipment, THAT would be nice, eh?! At least a project I can show you guys !!!!!!!

Yes 1914 is the number of cc's, one of the standard upgrade sizes for the cylinders and pistons. Had a few bugs over the years. Likely it started out as a 1500 or 1600 stock. 1500 is 91 cubic inches, 1914 is almost 117. Nice easy upgrade. Sizes over the years were 1200, 1300, 1500, 1600 and some of the vw buses had an 1800.

    weld_13,
the VW's had 2 basic motors one was smaller than the other, when i was in germany they were all the time looking for the larger of the 2. i blew mine up and one of the guys that race traded me a freshly rebuilt smaller version for my blown up larger one. good deal for me and he was happy to have the larger one to rebuild for his racer. i think it was a 1300CC and a 1600cc but not shore. been too many years.
