I'm impressed. Using a plasma cutter in one thing, but having the foresight to not drop the center of the "o" in John the first time you use one at a pen is really something.

My sweetie likes to set on a stool or the lawn chair and watch but has no interest in learning to weld. She don't whine much when I need a new toy so I am happy. She will fetch wrenches or tools which is more better anyway.

you better teach her how to weld soon so she can put back togather some of the stuff she cuts up. and find a good place to hide your favoret steel stocks.
I just tell her that all the steel left is for projects she wants me to complete. I will say; however, that my supply of scrap sheet metal is no more.
As for welding, she tried throwing a bead on the mig machine, she said she wasn't to impressed (her actual words, "Its Ok, as long as you like it"). Maybe she would like a Dynasty 200DX better. Hmmm Xmas is coming....

boy , jim you are just asking for truble with a sentence like that."Hmmm if I sent my wife over, would your's be willing to train her... "

projectwelder its cool you have a wife who is interested in one of your hobie's. but a plasma cutter can be adictive, you better teach her how to weld soon so she can put back togather some of the stuff she cuts up. and find a good place to hid your favoret steel stocks. when i first got my plasma cutter i was cutting up anything that it would cut, some of it was not needed cut..
looking forward to seeing her projects when she is done.

LOL yep what he said, she is in the door now its all her's.
on the brighter side you now have a good excuse to build that bigger shop you always wanted, you need more space if she wants to play in there too,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,well ok maybe not, but it sounds good and it might work..

Why the wife lets me bring home new toys

Just when I thought it safe to bring home a plasma cutter, I was awaken from my afternoon nap to the sound of a running compressor. When I went to the garage to investigate, this is what I saw!
