Well I finally put the finishing touches on the grille for my oldskool barstool. The whole thing was made from 16 gauge sheet. I just finished making the light mounts today. I used my brake to bend the mounts up on three sides, then welded a nut on the back of a boxing strip for the lights to bolt to. The mounts were then plug welded from the inside of the grille. I probably end up doing some pin striping on the top part once I dial in a design I'm happy with.

Personally, if I'm going to buy a barstool or a lawn chair it better have a cup holder. No cup holder = No Sale.
Your project demonstrates a very keen imagination on your part.
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!Best Regard,

Nice job on the project.
Since nobody else will ask, or everybody except me already knows, what the heck is that thing? A bar stool that you sit on? Or a bar stool racer? I don't see wheels or a seat, so please enlighten me. And, either way, what are the lights for?
I hope I'm not the only one that can't figure this one out.

chain guard
Wow! That thing looks good! The only thing I see it needs now is a chain guard..I'd have to have one on it or I'd be getting my pant legs (overalls) into it all the time. I think you could sell these things and make big money around here.

mock up
Originally posted by jarto017Thanks for the kind words Farris! That picture was just a mock up to make sure everything fit and was in order. There will be a chain deflector directly over the clutch, and the the rest of the chain will be hidden under the bed, once I finish the sheet metal.
