    Another one for the books

This is the 2nd post I have viewed in the Miller Forum. I'm beginning to wonder if I landed in the wrong place.

considering the post is titled "coffee table 4 computer desk" what were you expecting?? there is a lot of great info on here but there is also a lot of good guys haveing a lil fun from time to time and even some non-welding related projects. if you need info on anything in perticular feel free to ask and most likely you will get more info than you need. we like helping out, but we are not text book, we also like haveing a lil fun. i thought the hitch joke was a hoot.
        welcome to the site.

i think if you just want a quick welding related coaster, just grab a 4.5" cut off blade and its ready as is. 1/16" thick and big enough to hold your cup.i'll post some pic's for those of you without the abillity to picture this one in your mind.

        thanks for the help

          James,
coasters don't have to be the sanding disk pads with epoxy or nothing like that. I'm thinking just metal artwork of some kind that we all can make. Course it would have to have some kind of indentation to hold the water (napkin would hide the artwork). Any ideas guys? or will we forgoe the idea?

              James,
I'm afraid to buy anything expensive on e-bay, (what happens if something comes broken/missing/damaged, I have to send it back and wait.....) or at least something that is as important to me as this. I am waiting to save up $600 for the air torch/contractors set. I know I'm behind the times not buying on e-bay, but hey...YOU'RE STILL ON DIAL-UP !!!!

                YOU'RE STILL ON DIAL-UP!!!
thats just not right, i'm trailor trash too but you dont see me braggen about that. so dont go buttering me up talking about my high teck dial up.

i put togather a contractors kit off e-bay for about $250 except for the ground clamp/wire. takes a lil looking but you can save a few $'s and end up with a flow meeter insted of a flow gage but if you get the 350 the tigrunner is the way to go no question.
for the dyn200DX the foot controle is the big $ item and SSC has some excelent ones for $160. big saveings and a realy nice foot controle too.
ok so you just want some art work to hold a glass, i can do that, see pic's.
you might want to pick up a plasma cutter to if you want to make my cup holder though.

Let's see who would want to compete first. I would give it a month for everyone to do/build something.
