Die grinder sanding/grinding discs

I bought a nice angle die grinder and now I need some discs for it. Probably 2". Where I can buy sanding discs? Do they make them with Velcro (hook and loop) or do you have to buy the kind that screw on?

im not shure but if ur talkin about cutting wheels those are in 3'' and u can find em at hf,maybe hd and lws in a screw on type but not shure? if this isnt what u were lookin for let us know

Nope not cutting wheels, I need sanding discs for my die grinder...

Enco has them and lots of other places too.
3M makes sanding discs just like roloc pads. Easy to change and come in all grits and work great on an angle die grinder. I use 60 and 80 grit. They are not cheap, but cheap sanding discs as well as grinding wheels suck.

On the next page on the enco web site, they have the quick change back up pads, about $4 or so

i have the kind that twist to lock in. got them at HF in a starter kit with sanding and scotch bright disks. they have a prity good selection at HF. i dont know if there is a big diference in quality but mine seem to work fine.

Try using Merit power lock discs. The zirconium ones are the best. You can get them through MSCdirect.com.
I've been primarily grinding and polishing for 23 yrs, and have'nt found anything better.
Very expensive but will give you twice the life or more than the cheapos. Most of these discs are not meant to run on the high rpm grinders. we only use Dotco grinders at 12,000 rpm's. This will increase your disc life greatly.
Here's a couple examples of what I do.

I should have explained. Panel 1 is six pieces, and panel 2 is three pieces.
Welded, ground and polished to a medium scotch brite finish.

like i said i cant comment on quality as i have not used them enough to know. i only use them on TIG and i only been at that for about 8 months.
the HF's get the job done for me but i dont do it every day.
i know the walter flap disks are well werth the extra $$ so i suspect it would be the same here.

Just my two cents but I would avoid the velcro discs because with a die grinder spinning at 10000 rpm, you could be surprised at how far the little buggers will fly. I use the roloc style discs and have found that they hold up way better and you can get alot more done with them when you're not worried about them taking off on you.
