hello this is my first post and i was wondering if anyone paintballed in the semi-pro category that had there own gun because i was thinking about making a aluminum drop forward for my co2 tank because of the prices of storebought ones and wasnt shure what to use or if it would way to much. thanks

i went ahead and made it out of thick sheet metal and actually wasnt to heavy i used a tap&die set on part of it to liten it instead of putting nuts on it to but i have to get some lock nut washers. ill see if i can post some pics

          Cool......

Got a old Marine Corps buddy in Iraq working for Haliburton who travels on those truck convoys alot. The Army has a big problem with kids throwing rocks at the trucks and busting out the windshields & side windows. So,,,, they now issue paint ball guns to the drivers so they can pop them with as they go by.

My buddy has a ton of fun doing it too.

If you add the truck's 50 mph to the muzzel velocity of the paint ball-- it hurts!! when ya get hit.
He's also found that if you keep your paint ball ammo in a ice chest; rather than just 'splatting' on a person,,, the paint ball actually takes them off their feet before it bursts.

ive noticed that but if u shoot somebody in the neck even if the gun is shooting at legal speed it will actually knock em on the ground anyway. pretty cool but it hurts real bad

one thing to try to replicate a benchmark df that i had on all 3 of my ****ers and both angels and loved, at least w/ a 45/4500 tank.
1/2" square stock aluminum. drill and tap 3 holes in it, 2 6.5mm holes, 1 hole tapped for 6mmx1.0mm with a thumbscrew, then take a dovetail mount drill and tap 2 6mmx1.0mm holes in it corresponding to the holes drilled in the other piece for the mounting screws, and bolt em together, then you can mount it 90deg to the marker handle or straight down, either way I was able to completely tuck real tight with that setup and loved it.

wow. that takes some talent im not that good to be traveling out of state though. my guns a spyder imagine if anyonew knows what that is. its the newest version they made before they discontinued it, its like a 05' or 06' year. im waitin on an order at the local paintball store for a aftermarket barrel cause they didnt have it in a black only bright red that stood out . right now its got a hybrid locking feedneck and a spring upgrade on the bolt and valve.

yes I use to play 3 times a week and after 2 years of practice 3 times a week I got burned out and sold all my gear to get welders.

u picked something worth money sell to buy welders thats 4 sure. i think i would eventually get burnt out after 2 years of that much pratice but for the first couple months would seem pretty cool. i think some buddys of mine might start a team cause the one i was gonna join got tired of playin but i know alot of there old players who r still wantin to play in the leages.

it would seem you would need a job to be able to buy all the stuff yoiu need to play 3 days a week.
the welding gig will do you more good in the long run. kinda hard to take a date out on a box of paint *****.
