  • welding math.....

if it takes a six pack of budwieser to weld a oiltank for a harley
and two beers for a gate latch.

how many beers does it take to rebuild a rusted out 72 RS camaro ...
ive been working on this math problem for three months

    how does it go ???
    volts+beer=inches per minute
    beer x nothing do to=welding

First, redo your math problem, you got the equation wrong.

It takes a 6-pack of Old Milwaukee pounders to weld on a Harley

    Gate Latch sounds right

Therefore it takes 10 cases to weld a rusted out camaro. If it dont stick, add another beer can for backing.

    H x C divided by R = Nightmare

What else is there besides welding and riding. Besides that

There must be something in the sixth can of beer that affects the welder.
My welds start out ok then gets worse. I tried putting the beer farther away from the welder and it seems to help. The problem with this is the time it takes to get to the beer and back to the welder. By the time I get back, I want another drink. I don't get much welding done this way but I have saved a lot on gas and wire.

Kbar i think youre in the ballpark for the camaro

but for the weld not sticking i tried adding another but i couldnt get the beer bottle to stick to the welds.so after the breaking of the beer bottles i did come up with some cool custom tail light lenses.

hey Monte...if you drink the sixth beer your machine wont work right ,but what you do is open the seventh one you place the bottlecap/pulltab between the ground clamp and the work piece.then it practically welds it self

                Beer

Cliff, from the TV show "Cheers" had the best explanation yet about beer and I think it applies here.

He said that brain cells are like buffalo. It's usually the older, slower, sick animals that are taken out by predators and that strenghtens the herd.

And we all know that beer destroys brain cells, but it's only the older, slower brain cells that are taken out. And that is why we always feel smarter after a few beers.

Now if you will excuse me, all of this thinking has made me thirsty.

                        True story:
Looked at my welds one morning after drinking and said: "That's it, I'm never drinking and driving again."

                        And I haven't.

Thats why I love the 40% duty cycle on my Sync 200, weld a little, drink a little, then weld , drink, weld , drink, weld, drink, drink, weld, drink, drink
See the pattern forming? Itskinda like adjusting the balance as the night goes on, weld , drink drink drink, weld, drink drink drink(piss), weld, etc.
By the 4th can, I have creased the side of the can so that the filler rod has a groove to ride in.

you know that you have had too much(of both) when your eyes start hurting cause you forgot to flip yer lid down three sips ago.
