    moose,
This may or may not help you. I built a dump bed last year for my truck. I found some sketches online and went from there. I got the pump and cylinder on e-bay cheaper than what the other compaines sell them for. You can take the idea as you like and modify it to your needs, but to me it would be the same basic structure. Take the link.

    Good luck.

Are you still looking for plans. I purchased a set of plans off ebay to build dumping pickup truck bed, but the mechanics would be the same for a trailer, you'd just have to adjust some measurements for you app. Here's a link to the website from which my plans actual come from.

Let me know if you want a copy, and I'll photocopy a set and mail them to you.

        Howdy,

I want to put a lift set-up under my new (to me) pick-up bed...I have a bunch of gravel to haul this spring, along with black dirt, and I'm tired of shoveling it out of the back of my truck.

Don't know if I want to build the whole thing (or if I can), but I'd really like to see IF I have the ability to make it happen.

Hey silverbackman, I'd be interested in a set of those plans if you feel like it...do they tell you where you can purchase the sissors lift and hydralic unit?

        Thanks in advance,
        Slag

Hey Chuck and Slag. PM me with your details and I'll send you a set. I can email it to you in PDF if you'd like, but it's 3.37 MB, so make sure you email server will allow it.
Is a nice setup. It gives detail to build all the parts with the exception of the hydrolics (sp?). Give it a read, I think you'll like it.

I don't know if my server will deliver a 3.7 MB file ?
                Worth a try ?

Hi you guys building single or double acting hoists? most of the hoist that i work on for pick ups are single and they are easy to make Ill look around the shop and see if I can get hold of one of the prints and the monarck pump that we use sissor hoists are very uncomplicated to make.

I'll give it a shot, however, it's not usually the speed of the connection, it's the email account itself. Most internet providers limit the size of file your allowed to download of upload-meaning, I might not be allowed to send something of this size (but I'm pretty sure I can as I send and receive AutoCAD drawings all the time).
