  • Motorcycle Hitch Travel Rack

In addition to working in my shop, I also enjoy riding a Honda Goldwing. I recently added a Bushtec vertical trailer hitch to the bike and wanted some extra carrying capacity besides just towing a trailer. So I went out to the shop and fabbed/welded up this hitch rack to fit the motocycle trailer hitch (veritcal receiver that sits behind the rear fender) and to accommodate a nice big Nelson-Riggs travel bag. I then powdercoated it. I've got some super bright diode turn signal lites to mount on it, but I wanted share how it has come out so far. With the bag mounted on it, it only weighs 19.5lbs...not too bad. Once I get it on the bike with the lites hooked up, I'll post a couple more pics.

      Trike Luggage/Cooler Rack...

      Hey lgjhn,
Nice rack you made. Here's one I made for a Goldwing Trike owner in aluminum as he wanted it as light as possible. It weighs 2 1/2 lbs total. The corner tubes are for his POW/MIA and US flags he carries in parades. You can see the hitch clips on the lower corner tubes to lock the vert. flag tubes in place. The only steel are the receiver insert and forward frame cross piece. There are 2 bolts, one on each side for bungy hooks. He installed his own LED lighting for the signals and license plate with a short harness & trailer plug. I ended up making 13 others for his riding buddies with trikes.....Denny

WOW!!! CHEAP!!! I wanted to start making stuff for motorcycles (small stuff that doesn't take much room, since I don't have A WELDING SHOP!!! )
sorry, just showing my jealousy ..... I'll look into it a little later, and if I have more questions, I'll ask you, ok?
              thanks SO much
