I am looking for new welder in my shop and was wondering if anybody out there has any experience with the new miller 350 or the 350 P. I currently have a lincoln powermig 255. I know the edge gun is designed for aluminum wire but was wondering if anybody has used it with steel and how it performs .

If the MM350P is in the price range of available cash, DO IT! Get the python or edge gun and I have welded with one and all I can say is WOW. This machine can do aluminum like nothing I've ever seen. Stack of dimes look with aluminum .0625 thick material and never stop. The pulse is magic and the hand speed is just automatic. You'll love it!

The setup takes a bit of dialing in but once you get it set right a drunk monkey could weld with it!!!

    Peace,
    pjs

I recently sold a PowerMig 255 and replaced it with a MM350P. I went with a Python gun set up and can tell you that it is a nice combination for aluminum. AS PJ said, it takes a bit of dialing in the settings but once you get it, awesome. I'm not sure I would agree with the drunk monkey comment though.

Here is a job that I recently completed with my setup.
