Why the 2 message boards? I've been on here a year and just noticed the motor sports one. [slow, i know ]Lots of same people on both. Seems same stuff is talked about. Just curious????????
The Motorsports board was created first and was more exclusively called "Ask Andy" (Andy is our Motorsports expert) because it was created expressly for motorsports-related questions and answers. It began as a narrower-scope and somewhat experimental project. As time went on, it was discovered there was a large interest in projects, so we created a projects board for that purpose as well.
We are open to considering an overhaul to the message boards, possibly combining them in some way so that there is just one registration process...and one board to adminster too! :-) We are not poised to make any changes yet. If you have input you'd like to give for new features or changes you'd like to see on the board, please let us know. We will use that feedback to help guide our decisions.
I get it now...Well, I work in both trades [mechanic/welding] So I guess I would fit in both. But one would be nice, might be very large though. Have enjoyed this one. some interesting posts.
I like the one forum idea. At least together and have sub forums for projects and motorsports. May be able to add some other sub forums.
i'll cast my vote for this, also. As it stands now, at least according to my observations, any distinction between the two forums (fora?) is blurred at best.
I like the organization in the "TractorByNet" forum and, if there is a reorganization being considered for this forum, suggest that the administrators look there for possible ideas. Some blurring is inevitable, but most threads in TBN, or at least the first post in each thread, seems to adhere fairly closely to the category/subcategory headings.
