  • Walking the cup!

Johnnytig, I remember you talking to youngwelder about tig welding and mentioned something about walking the cup. I'm new to the tig world and just purchased a Dynasty 350 tig runner package and never heard of this walking the cup. Talking to my friend the other day he said he could give me some pointers and mentioned this walking the cup so I couldn't wait to see what it was. He layed the most beutiful weld I have ever seen with this method!!! WOW!. It will take me some practice to get the motion down but he said it will be very easy once I get the hang of it. Are there any more tricks I can do? I'm looking for all the info I can get. I want to take some tig classes at the community college but my new job is a swing shift. Figured till I get enough work to quit my job I'm kind of screwed on futhering my education since you can't take an internet tig class.
    Thanks, Shane Wyman

Take up the TIG classes when you can. They will help with setting the machine as well as tecnique.
