What about the mist coolers? I have them on both my lathe and mill. You can set the mist so that it doesn't leave hardly any residue or moisture. In fact, you can cut the coolant off completely so you just have air. They are common in the machining industry.
Ellis told me not to use coolants with their saws, but a mist might work.
