  • So how tough is Millers auto darking lids

Like the titles states. I was at a job when I realized I had forgotten my BWE. I grabbed my back up (a fixed window Jackson). The little Bulldog said hey dad why don't you use my helmit. His is a stars and stripes Xlix. I heaed up to the top of a 80' cement silo. When I got up there the wind was a whipping... When I turned into the wind with the lid up, it got ripped off my head. It hit 3 or 4 beams on the way to the ground and landed on the concrete pad below. That was bad enough but when the lid hit the ground a fork truck was going by and just clipped the helmit. Well the little Bulldog saw the whole thing and he was not happy!!! He picked uo his helmit and just looked at it. Then he says hey Dad it still works! COOL!
    See ya,
    Bulldog

Ya know Marty if I would have stayed with the heavy Jackson it probably wouldn't have blown off my head.

Bulldog, please e-mail me before you buy a new one. My units batteries are just about gone and was gonna try this weekend and see if I can resurect it if not you can have the shell and the knobs, if it is dead. It is not perfect but would save you some dough.
                Just a thought...

Thanks Laurence!!! That's a great offer! Don't get rid of your hood just because you need to replace the batteries. I do have a couple of stars and stripes Xlix's so we're ok for now. I'll let him use my xlix. Maybe at Christmas Santa will get him a new lid.
                  Thanks again!
