    Laiky

with the price war between the dell/gateway guys right now they must be looking for the lowest $$ available witch would tend to lead to more failures. they could also be using recycled parts as that is becoming more com en every day.

      Called Miller

I called Miller about my 200DX HF start no work. Only thing I could check here was point gap on Hi-Freq. coil(checked at .009") Should be OK. Other than that I have to send it back to the selling Dealer. Just wanted to say thanks for the help on this forum, glad I found it.

thank's for all the responses my dynasty went to the repair shop today tech said oh you just got it set up wrong can't be anything wrong with a new machine. about 2o minutes later he gave up and called miller with a response of we have had some problems with arc starter boards ' I had told the tech what i had gotten from you folk's as the same info and he told the person from miller he was talking too that info including info came from welder expert HAWK online. His response was then it is so if hawk said . I had to get back to work so didn't get anymore info. I'll report back when i get it back. Again thank's for all the help from everybody.

they do have it worked out, its a bad HF board from the distributer. not all the boards are bad, those that turn up bad are replaced and the problem is solved. i would not shy away from a dyn over it as miller will make it right if you should happen to get a bad board.if i had the $$$ i would buy one tomorrow and never give it a thought. its a bummer yes and yes it would tick me off to get a bad HF board in a new welder but by buying miller i know it will get straitened out ASAP without any hassle.

Thanks James! Miller is a great company with great customer support. Its at times like these though that remind me there are other great companies out there. Input form others often saves the day (or the company). Loyalty is given for a reason--good products, and the sense to support them goes a long ways. The 200DX is definitely still in my sights!

                no problem.
its Millers ability to stay on top of stuff and get you fixed and welding again that really sets them a step above the rest. they really are willing to work with you to fix a problem if it happens. if this issue was not being fixed and miller was trying to ignore it in hopes it would go away i would say go for some thing else, but miller is aware of the problem and will get you a new board even if it means taking it right off the assembly line. they truly stand behind there products after the sail. they reallies they cant control every thing and Pooh happens, we should also and for that reason they are there to fix it.I'm shore they are even more pissed about the bad boards than we the consumers are, even though they didn't make them it still makes them look bad so they want to fix it as fast as possible, in many cases they just send out a new welder to swoop out with ya.
