if you are using microsoft wind.XP you can go to the microsoft site and then go to power toys and download a picture resizer for free, its a great lil program that is simple and fast, you dont even need to open the pic to resize it. it downloades real fast even on dial up (like mine )

      • for photoshop: open file, save for web, then on right hand side of screen use the resize function, resize, make sure in above selectable tab that jpeg is showing, and then save.

            • Iramberson,
Here are some pics of the ol girl. I don't have regular welding service. I do alot of work for Concrete Redi mix plants and Concrete Block plants.I may be building equipment one day and installing a water system the next. I also do alot of trouble shooting. I buy and sell used equipment all over the the US and most of the time when I sell a plant I have to install it. I may be in Florida one week and Road Island the next week. Like I said I don't have a normal welding business. I have gotten so busy that I'm working 7 days a week15-18 hrs a day on average. If I'm lucky I get to work out of the home shop a couple days a week. At the home shop I build custom block molds and equipment for the Concrete Block Industry. I have so much work it's not funny. Anyway that's why I still use the pickup. It's loaded every day but it's usually loaded with different stuff everyday.
              Thanks,
              Bulldog

                  • Thanks Stick! Yea ya gotta love the Cummins. The white truck has over 300 thou and runs like it's new. I get the oil sampled every change (20,000)and it always comes back the same. Severity 0 .I bet the the thing will 5-600,000 easy.

                    • Welder accy's for Trucks

I just checked out a website at Millerwelds.com/truck. This site has dimensional drawings for mounting purposes and has some cool accy's for machines mounted in tight spaces - like trucks.
I have a Trailblazer 302 mounted on a trailer but my toolbox blocks the oil filter and drain door. Miller appears to have addressed this with a remote oil filter and drain kit that I found on the web site. It's perfect for my trailer. I'll take some pics this weekend and post next week.

I've never been too sure why the ability to drain the oil from an engine ought nnot to be standard equipment. Lincoln, at least solved the issue
on their Vantage 400. Standard it comes with a petcock drain and a rubber hose extender with pre punched holes in the case on both sides and the radiator end. You can reach the petcock and change the filters through the generic engine access door on the right side. It is a sliding door so you don't need 'flip up' room. The only special access door is for the battery which is located behind a panel on the control panel end.

This is somewhat more thoughtful that our old Miller Big 40 which had
flip up side panels on both sides and important things behind both panels. Ourse was stuffed in a welder bay on a service truck where you could not open either flip panel. On that model even the connections for the welder leads was behind the flip panel Consequently the welder had to be removed from the truck even to hook up a welder lead or to do anything else to it except push the starter button and weld with it.

                        • one thing I like about the TB is how easy it is to remove the doors. They just slide up and out, so when blowing out the machine or doing maintenance, its dead easy to pop the doors off and put them out of the way, no fasteners to worry about. I imagine the only thing better would be doors that fully slide out of the way, as it would save about 5 seconds to open the door and pull it out. I'm not concerned. I'm still waiting for my Miller counterpart of the vantage 400. I think it might be a long wait

                          • Hello everybody. There are some pretty nice rigs you guys have. Here is some pics of mine. Its a 3/4 ton ford with a service bodie that I built. I have a Trailblazer 302 with the HF 251d-1 and I have the RC12 wire feeder. I also have a MM175 for the smaller stuff. I am planing on getting the Spectrum 2050 plasma, hopefully soon.

                            • Hey Trevwelder, that's a nice job. I'm using a 3/4-ton Ford also with a TB301G and everything else I need just in the bed right now, but am looking various options.

How heavy do you figure your bed and load is? What's your stopping distance?

Thank you MAC702. I weighed the intire truck on a scale that a rock crushing outfit had. It weighed just over 10,000 lbs. As for the stopping distance I don't know, but its not very good. I might do a little test with it just to see.
I had a trailer that I had everything on before and I did not like that to much. For the jobs that I was at for a long time is was nice, but for the quick or smaller ones it was more of a paine than it was worth. I hope to step up into a one ton, but that might be awhile.
