    Cool pics!

Yeah, I have .030 coming. It is coming from the west coast, so I doubt it will come by this weekend. Oh well, I just finished watching the video that came with the welder. VHS? I had to watch it in the basement as this is the only place I still have a VCR.

Other than a wire brush, do you guys use any kind of cleaner (liquid) to help clean the material before welding?

I also have to dig out all my jigsaw blades to cut down this practice material. Where did I put them?

Prettyy cool. Is the bench for Hippy barbi ? I like building things when I practice also , just cant seem to justify welding something to through away on my budget. Unfortunatly it results in not as much practice as I would like , or need.

lol nope its for the hipie with the barbies (my wife ) oh and they are suzy's and veronicas or something like that LOL
thanks for the compiments guys, it keeps me from going nuts (playing in the shop)

asitone is a good cleaner,a 4.5" grinder should be on your shopping list, it will clean and finish off the weld, flap disks are real nice for cleaning up the real messy stuf and put a nice finish on the work as well.
            thanks for the help

She came home yesterday with (50) 6"x6"x1/8" pieces of steel

I will probably cut some of them up to try different welds. That should keep me busy for a little while.
Wow! You need to kiss her for all the metal. Sometimes them girls come in handy.

Look's nice! I'm going to Quimbys on Monday in Portland, Or. to pick-up my new 210/w spoolgun too that is waiting in will-call for me. I'm also picking up a few rolls of assorted wire, extra tips, a M15 gun as well as a small list of other stuff while I'm in Portland (no sales tax in Portland, 8.8% in Seattle where I live).

                Cylinder Tank $$ Question:
The 80cf tank does look like a nice fit and should be fine for my needs as well. I'm thinking while I'm in Portland (no sales tax) I want to buy one or two 80cf tanks while I'm there- one for Argon and one for C25 (I think it's the same tank isnt it?). What is considerd a "good/fair" price for a tank?

Hope you get alot of enjoyment from you new welder!

I see most 80cf hanging around $145 -$150 or so.
I"d call Tom and ask him..... On my 210, I have a rented 330cf of C-25 and with the welding I've done, it hasn't budged yet off the fill pressure yet...

Depends where you live. Here in NJ there must be a shortage of tanks because they sell them for close to $200 empty.

The places where I am wanted something like $150 down and 27 cents per day plus I would pay for all refills. The exact amout might be a little off since its been quite a while ago since I inquired about it. At those prices it seemed foolish not to purchase my own bottles. I bought an 80 CF brand new when I bought the Sync 250 and later I bought a used 120 CF for $150 from a supplier.I cant remember what I paid for the 80.
