Glad I read this because I was thinking of purchasing a Trailblazer 302 for the occasional field job (stick or TIG) and powering my MM251 off in my remote shop (only has 30 Amp 240V service).
Northern, remember that the MM251 will only draw more than 30A when the welding requires it. You can probably make an adapter and still do a LOT of welding off that 30A with your MM251.
Is the sole reason the 251 is not recommended to be run off engine drives its input power ratings? I would be concerned that it would maybe act like my century and not function up to snuff b/c of phase or waveform irregularities.
