I have a 1988 machine and it is a great welder for tig and stick.

I had a 1989 model & liked it very much. The only reason I sold it was lack of floor space in my shop.

I had and older one it was a good machine though the board for the hi freq did go out but it was able to be repaired . i had the pulser unit on top of mine . this is the machine i had before i got my aerowave . if you can get it cheap enough and you try it out and it works go for it.
