That's a nice looking car. I had a 69 Barracuda Formula S with a 340.
It looks like the motor has been set back. How far back did you set the motor back?

NICE car there is only one thing I would change.......i would wrap all that muscle with a 71 Cuda body but that's just me. Very nice car i am drooling as i type!

I built the whole thing other than the engine i have no idea how far engine is set back i can measure it if you like? Its 950hp 604 cu" and low compression small cam etc.. to run on pump gas . It is a street car that will occasionally go to the track. I would think a hi 8 or low 9 around 150 mph should be attainable .Its a keith black block with stage 5 heads etc... . Engine was built by Ray Barton .It has a 4130 sheet metal 9" housing with strange third member 40 spline axles Dedenbear powerglide 4130 cage with removable door bars for the street . Car will have a full interior sound deadener etc.. the exhaust tucks up inside the car so nothing hangs below rocker panels so as to attain a low ride ht while still maintaining ground clearance etc... My old car was a '69 Dart w/ 340 fourbarrel Carter AFB, only slightly mod the ignition, exhaust, and rear end. Man that was a nice ride.

Oh, don't bother measuring the engine set-back. I would like to see what the back of the car looks like. I'm guessing that the rear end is narrowed.

Looks like the engine set back is probably around 8-10".

thanks for the compliments This is the first street car ive done in a while most are just drag race only stuff . Had to do a little thinking on this one so it would be streetable enough and still be safe on the strip . I went with 2x3 frame rails on this one so i could make door bars removable .normally i just go with all 4130 round . the exhaust routes through the frame its really cool ill post a pic tomorrow im putting on the headers and exhaust before sending it out for upholstery work . and for the race car guys i even made hingible dzus fasteners on the trunk lid so you can open or remove . really slick actually . Just wiring this thing i have over 60 hours so far and still not done. You know the frame is the easy part the rest of it is hard . thanks Dan. www.progasengineering.com

Good thing that engine doesn't sit 3" farther back you'd have to get that glass custom cut. It might look kinda cool though.
