Onan Powered Millers - Anyone Used One?

    I'll give this Kano Kreen a try - easier than disassembling the engine! The previous owner said that he had the engine serviced by some knuckle head mechanic and they overfilled the oil. That's when it started smoking and he just lit it sit for a lot of years.

    This thing not only smokes, but a residue of oil is coming out of the exhaust and the plug on the bad cylinder will foul out after some time. It's a shame too. I kind of like these Onan's - especially the sound of the engine.

    I have heard that these Onans were bad about the exhaust valve seat coming loose too. Could be that the rings cracked from crankcase pressure from too much oil.

      Might also have some corrosion around the valves. Mine was sitting outside for six years locked up. Valves and all were frozen on one side. Runnable on the other.
