  • Miller 300 A/BP

Is one of these old welders worth messing with ? I had a later model Digital type that supposedly burned up the circuit board and kind of thinking the old stuff may be a little tougher ? Need it for TIG welding mostly steel but sometimes Aluminum

A lot of people really like them, but keep in mind they're big, heavy, and need a lot of power, so you'll have to consider how one would work with your shop space.

Yup, yup and yup. They’re not near as adjustable than a newer machine, and some of those features, while not magical, do help on certain predicaments. It would not be my choice of machine for something delicate either. I have several options in my shop when it comes to tig welding. But they are robust machines that are literally built like tanks.

          Well I couldn't find a 300 A/BP but I did score a Syncrowave 350 with a cooler and 2 torches.
