Miller Sidekick XL won’t turn on

Hi all, I’m new to the forum and seeking help: )

I have a 1990 Sidekick XL 230 Volt with a GA17C gun. It won’t turn on. For the last while the fan has been a bit finicky coming on. Sometimes I have to jiggle the switch and it comes on. Now it won’t turn on at all. No fan, no nothing. I thought maybe the switch was bad, but a voltage test indicates it is switching on and off just fine. I read in another thread on here some models need the fan to run to power up the PC1 board. And that if the fan has 115volts to the black wires and isn’t on then the fan is bad. I have 116 and 118 volts, fan isn’t running.

do I need a new fan? Does the fan on this model power the control board?

I got a direct response from Miller when I emailed. For the Sidekick XL the fan has a transformer that feeds 24v to the PC board.
