    I had some lever clamps left over from a project so I used them to make brakes for my repurposed 12" sander's cart, they work wonderfully and they are easy to build too.

    I might copy that, I added wheels and casters to my power hack saw and need to make it sit still when it needs to sit still. I was leaning towards a floor lock, but maybe wheel locks would work just as well. I’d need two wheel locks instead of one floor lock though.

      For heavier machines like you are describing, you can easily build curved brake shoes and weld a cup on them for the bolt head to sit in, being curved, they couldn't rotate while sitting on the tires. I don't know, you might be OK without needing anything to do the job.
