Dynasty 200DX help5/9

Hello to all!
I finally had a chance to power up a welder I purchased and the display flashes between a 5 and 9 help code. All boards look perfect from a visual inspection - no burn marks, bulging caps or anything out of the ordinary. The fan comes on after it boots through and the codes display.

I'm not familiar with the model, but the manual says that's a heat sink problem....code 5 is that it has overheated, and code 9 is that it has a short in the thermal protection circuit. Sounds like a trip to the service center.

You’re correct. I’m hoping to avoid the service center (sounds expensive) and finger this one out.

Check RC3 pin 1 & 2 should read 1000 ohms at room temp this is a thermistor.
