Tig welding with nickel 99

Somehow I missed he was welding an a rearend. In that case, I would not consider that N99 rod an appropriate filler. Be better off to use 7018. I have never had a problem using er70-s2 or s6. On particularly nasty, old housings I’ve had trouble with porosity no matter how much grinding and cleaning I did and had to end up running some 309 in there with the tig torch to smooth things out.
