    The new ones do have WiFi. At work dealing with cardiac patients, we can connect to the pacemaker and get certain information straight to our heart monitor. Now these heart monitors cost around $30k, so they should be able to do that. But even pacemakers that are 20 years old can communicate. The older ones, the patient would dial a number on his touch tone phone and hold the phone to his chest and could send information over the phone to the cardiologist. Now these devices can alert a patient’s cardiologist directly in the event of certain anomalies.

      Was always weird to see my father holding his phone to his chest. He’d be in his recliner with his eyes closed. Could times I thought he’d died. LOL
