  • Mig Welder on a Budget

I am looking for a 220V MIG welder on a pretty tight budget. Do you have any recommendations?

Miller 211, Lincoln 180, Hobart 190 and if you need to spend even less perhaps the Primeweld 180

Something used. Maybe something that’s been sitting under some redneck’s tree for a couple years.

How much you have to spend?

See what's on your local craigslist.

Find a way to afford a 211. I bought one of the first gen models and it’s still my go to mig box after 8 years. The new version is even better.

Thanks for your recommendation. I also found a review where they recommend LOTOS MIG175 that is under my budget. What do you think about this product?

Why don’t you start off with your location and your budget? My experience with off brand MIGs is terrible. To be fair, they are usually brought to my shop with the complaint of ‘it doesn’t work’, andusually they don’t and are not repairable. Sometimes I am able to modify parts to make them go, often not. Every Lincoln, hobart, or Miller, has always been made to work again.
