One more pic. If you interested in this one I can part with it. Post here as I don't check pms very often. Most parts are here. I plugged it in and wire feeds and makes an arc. Missing cover and nozzle pcs. but has all the cables.

Here are some pics. Spoolmatic1. The cable is definitly kinked to fit around everything. Looks like it was done at the factory. Hope this helps.

I have an old one on the shelf but won't have time to pull it apart until the weekend, probably Sunday. I'm in northern NJ if you are interested in a parts one.

Sorry--I sold my Spoolmatic 1 a couple of years ago, so can't look inside. I would suggest that if you can't fit AWG 2 cable in there, buy a foot or two of AWG 3 and splice it near the gun. Would save you a bundle, and a well-done and well-supported splice should be quite serviceable. Another thought--do you plan to run the gun at max capacity with max size wire, at high duty cycles? If not, perhaps a piece of AWG 4 would work, and would fit easier. Would not deliver full power/duty cycle, but might work fine depending on your application. I put a 150 amp gun on my MM200 because I despise the big clunky GA20 that came with it. Since I'm never running it maxed out, it's been working fine for several years.

Miller Spoolmatic 1 power cable replacement

    Hello All
I've been trying for days now looking for help with a Spoolmatic 1 Miller spool gun that I recently purchased .
The spool gun is missing the 3ga power cable which connects inside the gun case .
The problem I'm having is trying to figure out how the cable may have been routed past the stem of the wire speed control knob and the aluminium trigger lever without binding against either of these parts
Also, the parts. list on the Miller website calls for a rare and expensive 3ga welding cable which I priced out at Miller4less @ 4.62 per foot and it looks like I'll need at least 25 feet
Can I substitute a more readily available 2ga cable?
And finally, It would really help immensely if someone might have a picture of the interior of a Spoolmatic 1 that clearly shows how this large cable fits into the limited space. within the gun.
Working...
