  • Big blue 400

I dont know the serial number and haven't seen it in person but there's a Deutz powered big blue 400 just popped up for sale close to me. They are asking 2500. i am going to take a look and do some test welding passes. I have a Lincoln SA200 shorty in need of a complete restoration including a complete engine overhaul. I guess what I am getting at is this a fair price ? Click image for larger version

From the pics you are providing it looks to be in good condition. I dont know about the value of it but from the asking price of it I am guessing it is worth that depending on the running hours of it. Good luck, I hope you do good on what you decide to do!

Thing looks brand new. How many hours are on it?

I’ve seen a whole bunch of scammers on Craigslist selling engine drives for super cheap, so be careful. Have you talked to the guy yet? Most of the scammers want to either text or email or they end up calling from an “unavailable” number.

That’s an older one. I’ve used the cc/cv big blue 400d and I always like them. They are outstanding carbon arc air machines as well.

This looks very nice but it also looks like somebody has painted everything to make it look that way as I see over spray. Be careful buying something that has been "dolled up".
