Riverweldstore on ebay has hundreds of components including panel connectors at reasonable price.

  • Miller AEAD 200LE - upgrade taper terminal connectors to tweco?

i have a 1980 Miller AEAD-200LE with a serial number of JA453900, the unit runs great and it is a joy to have save for one thing...the taper connectors for the leads.

has anyone ever tried to swap out the taper terminal connectors to something like a tweco or dinse? all of my welding leads are tweco and i have to keep separate cables to connect to this unit; it would be great to get everything using the same connections.

in looking at the taper terminals it looks like they are just bolted up with 2 nuts behind the faceplate.

was wondering if i could just put a bolt and nut through and connect something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Tweco-Arcair-.../dp/B0029ZVSAK

anyone ever seen this done? maybe it is not worth it?
Working...
