  • Where Do You Hang Your MIG Guns?

Out of curiosity, on pretty much all of my welding machines I normally just wrap the gun and the ground around the handle on the machine. I really don't like this because it gets in the way of opening the side doors, and other stuff. So I'm wondering how everyone else deals with storage of their guns! Post a pic if you've got a different way of doing things!

I didn’t know there was another way to hang the mig gun.

How about up on the same (or similar) spool that your TIG torch is hanging?

Both My MM 180 and 172 Challenger have similar gun and ground wire holders, the round holders are made from semi dual wheel stone rings? The rings fit in between semi dual tires anyway.

I have these hook things that slide around the top of the gas cylinder. They’re called **** hooks or Hel-hooks or something like that.

Probably not the best place to hang the gun and ground clamp lol

I wrap mine around the front like most people. But I do hang all kinds of stuff on those hooks. Pretty dadgum handy.

I meant if you bump the trigger that could be bad. Some hooks on the side would be nice but that's pretty far down the list of a million and one things to do

I have seen cylinders scrapped because of arc strikes from the gun and grounds stored on the cylinder and someone bumps the trigger...Bob

Here's a cart I built for my heavy 180 SD, I rolled brass bushed steel wheels for it on my $125 Chinese roller, it rolls like a bowling ball now.
