    General Electric was developing the "Atomic Hydrogen" process. Thankfully they gave up on getting this mini electric furnace to the field.

    My hunch is much of this work was done during WW-2 years with the taxpayer picking up the bills.

    Adding Hydrogen to electric arc actually increases the flame temperature and minimizes electrode erosion. It's still done today in some arc furnaces.

      TIG welded a lot of stainless using 2% hydrogen mixed in, good stuff.
