      The machine I learned to stick weld with back in about 1960 or so was just like that Hobart, except it had a polarity switch on it and a Wisconsin (VF4?) engine, all mounted in a big metal skid with a gas tank in the bottom. And Bob's right, that thing would weld all day with nary an adjustment--lots of copper in those old things. Very sweet arc; I was spoiled for the machines I would use later. I remember Dad warning me that Wisconsin engine would break your wrist if you used the starting crank wrong.

      I think someone on here refurbed one of those old Millers a couple of years ago, but can't remember who it was.
