    Anyone seen / tried out one of these new machines. I saw one at a tool store yesterday. Looks interesting. I like the fact that it has pulse but I wonder if it really has enough juice for the thicker aluminum. I wish they would have added the pulse without adding a fancy screen that is more likely to break.

    For aluminum, any machine welding near the top end of its capacity, you don't want to use pulse, that's not going to help with heat input.

    Personally I like the screen, but I don't work in an environment where it's likely to get damaged

      Its about half the weight of a 252 that they plan on apparently replacing
