  • Miller 172 spool gun question

I came across a SGA_100 box with spool gun 3035 and everything indicates it should work on my 172. My question is there is a wire with a terminal on the spool gun that connects to the welder. I can't find where that terminal is supposed to go, does anyone know? Thanks!!

Yes that is the correct setup for the 172. The spool guns trigger 4 pin wires hook right to the control box. Also the gas hose in the upper RH corner on the hose barb. Scroll all the way down for the diagram https://www.millerwelds.com/support/...n-hookup-chart ...Bob

My thought it would go on a jumper stud for the polarity, thats how my 185 hooks up. I would call Miller and ask for the MIG department and ask them...Bob

That's what I'm thinking on the polarity. I'll get in touch with Miller. Thanks!
