    Aeronca41,
Thanks for all of your help. I'm going to try this in the next couple of days. Work is really busy right now and I don't have a lot of time. This looks like it should work fine. Thanks for all of your help. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have some pictures and be able to report on how it works, Thanks again.

This should do it. I show K, G, and D all connected together because that's the way it's drawn in the Dynasty diagram. Should work fine. Parts list for the foot pedal shows the components inside are the same value on both 6-pin and 14-pin versions.

Hey Ryan, if you see this, this new capability to paste in pics sure would have been a help when we were trying to get your drum switch to work! This is nice! Thank you, Miller for the DRASTIC improvement in the ability to post pictures!

Pics you posted are too fuzzy for my old eyes to study. Young was a lot easier than old! Please post the links to the manuals you took them from and I'll see if I can help.

Well the adventure continues. The cord I thought I had ordered was the incorrect one, my fault. Working to see if I can get another of the correct type. In doing some more digging around I found a potential problem which I can't seem to find an answer to. I have added 3 photos to help with the explanation.
On the 6 pin plug there is a connection between pins 5 & 6 that go to a ground. This is the setup for the Maxstar.
On the 14 pin plug, the corresponding wire that goes to terminal D is not grounded.
In the electrical diagram the Dynasty shows a ground connection from K to D terminals.
I guess the question is do I wire the 14 pin plug with a jumper between K & D or run a wire from pin k to pin 6, which is the correct way to do it I think.
I did find a wiring diagram for the adapter cord Miller sells and it shows a straight wire method, A-E equals 1-6 with no jumper. . Am I making this more difficult than it is?
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Glad you found a backup plan---and that you didn't let loss of an eye keep you down! Hang in there, and let us know when you get it working.

Got all of the parts in and tried to put it all together. The cannon plug went together somewhat easy but I destroyed the 6 pin plug. I lost sight in my right eye about 4 years ago and it plays **** with the depth perception and trying to do close up work. The good news is I was able to find a pre assembled cord with the 6 pin socket already on it. Thanks for all of your help.

Checked the plug on the Dynasty, there are only 6 wires being used with one of them being a shield. The wiring looks to be the same for each plug according to the info I have here.

I tried that number and nothing comes up. I was hoping to get the diagram for the adapter that Miller makes but nothing coming up. The only thing I see different is that the Maxstar uses 6 pins with a jumper between pins 5 and 6, and the Dynasty only uses 5 pins. That is according to the SSCControls info for the pedal for both machines. The miller drawings for the Dynasty show 9 pins being used. This weekend I'm going to pull the 14 pin plug for the finger tip controls apart and check the wiring. I did get both the 14 pin plug and the 6 pin socket. . It's getting closer!!
