Have you looked at your rheostat?

What gear is it in? First gear?
Age of the unit? How many hours on it?

How would I know if it’s the rheostat?

Look for cracks, poor contact on the wiper, connections that look like they were hot, heat discoloration. Put an ohmmeter between the movable contact and one end and see if resistance changes smoothly as you turn it.

Thanks all. It’s the theostat. I pulled the panel and there are two broken wires sticking off the stator looking part. (Sorry. Not that familiar with electrical stuff). I will o it but I’m pretty sure that’s the culprit.

FYI guys... I installed a new rheostat and all is well with the bobcat. Thanks so much for the help!
