  • Interview for the pipe fitter union.

Hey everyone, so I applied for my local pipe fitter union and have made it to the interview level.. according to the letter they sent me I'll be interviewed by 6 members at the same time!? Been doing similar things in the steel and welding trade for about 14 years now, but I gotta say this has me a little anxious lol.

Just wondering if anyone here can give me some insight into what I can expect and maybe somethings I should be sure I know.

Never been in a union so I can't offer any insight there, good luck for the interview

They know bullcrap when they hear it, so don't embellish anything.

Be yourself. Be honest, be humble. Be respectful. Show them you can listen. Show them you have good work ethic.
As stated, don't try to bs them, you will never hear from them again. They are screening you to see if you have what it takes to represent the best interest of the hall on the job. Its more than likely the administration team interviewing you.
