STR problems

I got a couple of Maxstar 200 STR's one won't turn on at all and the other will come on with output light on, as soon as you apply a load it goes into help 8 code........ which is "Help 8 Display
Indicates a malfunction in the secondary
power circuit of the unit. There is a high
open circuit condition. Contact a Factory
Authorized Service Agent if this happens"

so my question what can I steal of the other welder and change out to make one work from two machines???

SN LC39 is the semi working one and the doaner is LC74.

maybe if anyone has a Tech manual that would share it that could help me also.

What happened to each when they quit working, or did they just die between one day and another? Or did you acquire them in this condition and are starting from scratch? What diagnostic tests have you already done on the machine that doesn't power up, to find out where the power stops?

I bought them knowing that they are down.... but I thought what the **** see I can make one out of two....... and I need and few case parts for my CST280 that I got also. As far as testing not much with out the tech manual, powered up hooked up the load bank and it goes into help 8' the little clear case relay in the bottom of the welder closes for a split second and then opens.
