Found a speed controller at HFT made to control the motor speed for brush type AC motors found chop and miter saws.
It is basically a reostat that uses thermistors to vary the supply voltage to the saw.
set it to the lowest rpm setting using the rotary knob on 14" abrasive chop that normally runs at 3500 rpm, slowed it way down.
Unable to stall out blade in 3x3x1\4" structural steel by applying downward force on handle.

The Evolution tech advised that vibration causes chipped teeth on carbide tooth blade.
The saw support structure must be sufficiently rigid to limit vibration.

Building my own heavy duty cut off saw.
Believe slider saws have best cutting geometry that minimizes number of teeth in contact with work piece, but the compliance of the small diameter slider tube rails causes excessive vibration compared to plunger cut chop saws.

The 1300 rpm Mikita chop saw is the best portable chop saw have found yet, but still too compliant for dry cutting steel.
Trying a 12" miter slider saw with speed control unit to set tip speed at 10,000 ft\min for aluminum using C3 TCG blade.

Out of curiosity, ask your insurance company if you are covered if something goes wrong and your house burns down. I'm not saying it will, but will they accept the "I'm an engineer and built a better one myself" instead of "Something went wrong with this UL-Listed product I purchased."

I don't know why, but I'm envisioning your neighborhood as one that as soon as you fire up a saw to cut aluminum, they will have the HOA all over you for the noise.

Prefer horizontal band saw for AL solid round, square, rectangle, tubing stock and vertical band saw for Al plate over cutoff saw and
slider miter saw with carbide tip blade , but cut needs clean up using lathe, milling or stationary disc sander.
