Multimatic 215 question

Watching a Miller You Tube video on the unit being used in MIG mode I noticed that the wire speed "read out" transitioned to an amperage value while the operator was running a bead. Miller mentions nothing about this in their literature on the unit. So I was wondering if any one knows if there is a hold timer on the amperage value that would allow you to view it after completing a weld.

If I 've done this correctly, the video should starting out close to the point were I noticed the wirespeed to amperage change. Of course I had the video on full screen when I noticed the display change.

Well it looks like the video is going to start from the beginning. If you jump forward to 9:30 in the video it places the video close to the point were you can easily see ( in full screen mode) the machine display while the unit is being used to run a bead.

Interesting - The MM252 will show actual voltage but there isn't a way to hold that info.

I imagine the 215 is the same way.

If you flip your helmet fast enough you can see the last second or two of the amperage display. No way to record the view that I know of, but call customer service, talk to a product engineer, they can tell you how to get into all the secret menus.

By "hold timer", I meant that the read out holds the value for a few seconds after a weld is completed. The meters on my Migmaster 250, Fabricator 181i, and Fabricator 211i function this way. I contacted Miller and a weld tech confirmed that the amperage is held for a few seconds after completing a weld.
