Hello I have a millermatic 252 that will cut out once in a while during welding. Its been doing it for quite a while now and I'm over it. Ive got a good ground, clean material, clean tip, plenty of tension on my rollers, which are clean as well. My guess is possibly a smashed/bent liner? I pulled it out a little over a year ago to make sure it wasn't damaged, cleaned it and everything, and I haven't used anything but solid wire since so you wouldnt think it would be that dirty already. Any input or ideas would be great, figured I would ask around before I went ahead and purchased a new liner. Thanks!

My 252 is my "go to" machine, but it requires a little TLC -- recheck the trigger connections, clean/inspect the liner (be surprised what comes out when you use compressed air), lube the drive mechanism periodically. Not sure if you're running the 8" spools, but checking /rechecking tension is something I do frequently. Also, doing the "wooden block test" every so often is a great way to rule out problems in the wire feed pathway.ESAB TIG 252 with Miller CoolMate
