front's got the frame of the lens in gold and a small version of Mjolnir (Thors Hammer for the americans) on the face.

Guy did a good job on it, I was surprised, I suck at painting my paint started peeling off and breaking

Don't need the hot chicks man, I am married

I admit it, she does better than me.

It was great, a small one this time though.

Oli...I like it. It's not cluttered up with all kinds of things. I have the same hood and it came with blue flames on it. The only reason I got it is because my LWS was out of stock on the complete black one when my old Hobart hood checked out and I needed a hood right then and there. I never considered painting my hood...painting is the bane of my existence...well painting and drum brakes are tied on that.

Those are some really sharp pictures man...there is no way you took those....

Yeah it's cool, my buddy surprised me with it.

You have a Titanium hood? I didn't know they came with blue flames . I have 2 hoods and the miller goggles in my shop, 1 hood and 1 goggle I personally own, the last hood is company property so in other words, I got a spare.

I hear you on the painting, I am awful at painting, I normally end up getting spray paint all over the place and drip all over the paint job AND spray my hands and arms.

Good thing i am better at welding than painting or I would have a bunch of scars on my arms!

                    oh wait... I do....... nevermind.

Hey! I take some pretty good pictures..... but yeah, those aren't mine

I had trouble finding the hood but figured I would start from the top and look for it... had to do that a couple of times then I found it.

Maybe it's not a titanium. **** I dunno. Looks like that one. Shape and lens and all...just with silly blue flames on it. It was expensive. I hadn't realized they went up that much in price. I had an optrel years ago and they issued a product recall on it and gave a full refund. Mine was a year old when that happened. I didn't have a lot of time to weigh the options of hoods when I got that one. Just went to the top shelf, paid and got back to work.

I have to do some painting today on a couple of small jobs I got done late last night and I'm loathing the thought of what's to come later.

                        Haha, well whatever.

                        Recall? For what?

Sucks man, feel sorry for you.... bring the beer, it'll help.

It was years ago, but the deal was something to do with the lens flashing you while you were welding. I understand the company figured is was cheaper to just refund everyone than attempt to come up with a replacement lens. I never had any trouble with mine.

I would absolutely let you paint these doohickies for me. I'd even buy all the beer you want. ****, I'll even buy pizza, but you have to come here...and bring your newly painted hood, I want to get it dirty for you. We'll do some stick welding and get it all sooted up in front.

Wow, must have been pricy either way.

Ha, I am good, I'll let you take this one on. Want to soot it up? How about some aluminum?

Dude, would be fun, where do you live anyways?

Beaumont Texas. Or as I affectionately refer to it, Armpitsville USA.
I think Duane lives pretty close to me and Joe lives just across the border into the country of Louisiana. Sometimes he can be found out this way hunting old iron.
