• AC price point

I love my 211 gmaw, and my 150 STL. I really did not think I would want ac for tig but I was wrong. With out getting into the big machines My choices are limited. Any chance Miller will make a ac machine to go against the 200 square wave of the competition in both price and size?

I have been in the business along time. I'm really liken the fact that Miller is leading the way with the smaller machines. I would just like them to come out with a model to go against the comp.

Hey Bob, if this is who we think it may be, he keeps asking the same thing. I think he wants a Dynasty class machine at a Diversion price point. Yet, if you look at his bio, he already owns a Dynasty. I still think he's a Lincoln salesman.

I think you have me pegged as someone else. Yes I want a miller machine that does ac at a lower price. Nothing wrong with that. This is for my own use at home. I don't need a big machine. At work I have 30 plus miller machines. Currently my home shop only has miller. Once I figure out why I can't post pic off my phone I'll put up some pics

Who would have ever thought that FrancisJ the Auto_Tech drives James Bond's car? Or does J Stand for James? He's really going to have to try harder.

Man I'm having a bad day, people I have never chatted with think I'm a troll. My phone and pc will not down load pics. I was a ironworker by trade local 771 . For the last 22 years I have been teaching welding. I have a number of students that go on this site thought I would give it a chance. And some how I get involved with somebody thinking I'm a troll on my grand father's grave you have me mixed up with someone else

                      Driver 007,
I believe you and yes, there has been a troll here recently, asking questions eerily similar to yours. I would say that Miller doesn't see a market for the machine you desire. I think it would be in direct competition with the Dynasty series. You're best bet would be a used Dynasty, if you want to stay with Miller. I have a Diversion, but I'm only a hobby welder now. If I tigged for a living, the latest incarnation of the Dynasty would be my choice. i'm sure that if Miller saw a market for the machine you're looking for, they would be making it. Miller doesn't have to fight for market share. Other manufacturers do, thus their cheaper offerings. Just my thoughts.

In my hast when I bought my 150 and not getting ac puts me in a bad spot. If I go to my brothers shop and borrow his dynasty it's 60 miles round trip. If I sell my 150 I'll loose my shirt. I went all out foot peddle, flex head tig torch etc. Around hear guys just want to pay zero for a deal. Miller does there homework but I still bet a small inverter based ac with a few of the goodies would be a big seller. The 180 would work but after having the 150 witch is real nice to haul around the bigger 180 is a bit much for me to be mobile. I think I'll end up with the 210 dx I want to keep the 110 capability.

From the same area of the same state asking the same questions....must be something in the water up there.

If you aren't the same guy, you should have no problems. If you are the same Lincoln loving Miller bashing feller, we still don't care what machine you like or how much you hate miller for not being your best buddy. The facts are if you want an upfront low cost machine made in Mexico, buy the Lincoln. Miller does not a machine in the category you want.

Your right they do not make a welder in that price point. That is the whole idea. I still think a inverter ac would be a big seller. I do not know who this other guy is but he sure has people wound up. Please I'm not that guy. For one thing I am up in Canada. When I get a fix for my pics Ill shoot some of the rows of xmt's, mpa's, dynasty's that get used here on a daily base. Other then that this is getting old.
