Contact Tip

I'm New Here and just getting into "Mig" Welding. Did stick welding for 40 years this mig is new to me. My question is how far should the contact tip stick out from the nozzle if at all. I have a miller gun m-25. Thanks For any Help Here.

Some stick out, some are recessed. I prefer they be flush or slightly recessed.

The only time I like the tip stuck out is welding inside corners. The rest of the time I prefer the tip recessed a little bit. You can get different nozzles for the M-25 for different stickouts...Bob
