  • Bluestar 6000 throttle control

I recently got a Honda powered 1998 model Bluestar 6000. Never had an engine drive welder before. This model does not have auto throttle control and the manual seems somewhat vague. If I am only needing 90 amps or so to run a 3/32 7018, am I supposed to run it full throttle? Love the machine, suits my needs, just Not a lot of info out there that I can find on these older rigs. Thanks

Use full throttle. There is no way to define how much part throttle you need for different applications. Old welders had idle and weld speeds only.

If you ain't idling, you're at full throttle.
