View the Miller serial number chart to see when your product was manufactured. Use the serial number and/or the style number to identify the year. Learn more.
It has its own webpage that comes up instantly when you Google "miller welding serial numbers."

I know that.
It would still be a nice feature "IMO" on a MILLER forum. You can't post on that webpage.
Just some of the useful info that has been posted here would be nice for folks unfamiliar with Miller products. (like the "blue lightning" info")
One doesn't really need to use the forum for anything when you come right down to it. It's more about the sharing of information and what we do with it.
Heck just go way back and read about how we bandied about crazy stuff like a wireless foot pedal and a Dynasty that was more than 200 amps and not a 350. Or updatable software.
Just sayin'

The Blue Lightning feature was added to the DYNASTY350's and 700's at serial #LK37000L which was manufactured on 10/15/2009.
and to DYNASTY 200's at Serial #LJ280222L in Mid 2008
So if you are looking at a used machine... you can tell by the serial if it has BL...
So .... I'm confused.
I'm looking at a used Dynasty 200 , with a serial number of LJ070273L - going by the Miller serial number chart that would seem to indicate that it was built in July of 2008. Would that have the Blue Lightning feature?
What month does the Serial # "LJ280222L " indicate?
Or did Miller change the SN# format to differentiate the Blue Lightning machines?
